Ricoma Hosts DecoSummit at New Headquarters
Ricoma, Miami, recently hosted DecoSummit, a custom apparel educational experience focused on teaching the different methods of apparel decoration.
The inaugural event, held Oct. 10-12 at the company’s new headquarters in nearby Medley, Fla., included classes and tutorials teaching embroidery, sewing, heat transfer and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, as well as business seminars advising attendees on how to use the machinery for maximum profit.
Henry Ma, Ricoma COO of Ricoma, and Gary Ajene, founder of the T-shirt Help Desk, covered topics from pricing products to the top-selling platforms for attendees’ business.
Other high-profile speakers at DecoSummit included YouTube sensations Jennifer Moore of “The Sewing Report” and Reyes Gasca of “Reyes the Entrepreneur.” Moore taught a beginner’s guide to sewing and Gasca taught attendees about using heat-transfer vinyl with a heat press. — D.S.
