Brother Intl. Corp., Bridgewater, N.J., recently announced the debut of its new sewing, quilting and embroidery machine, the Duetta 2.
The new machine is controlled by an enhanced LCD touchscreen display with intuitive icons that are easy to see and easy to use, according to the company.
For sewing, the Duetta 2 offers 487 built-in sewing stitches, the My Custom Stitch feature for personalized stitching, a sewing speed of up to 1,000 stitches per minute, and seven-point feed dogs that grip the fabric and make feeding simple and easy, according to the company.
Quilting features include the Brother Automatic Height Adjuster (AHA) that senses fabric thickness and adjusts the presser foot pressure, a Pivot function that allows users to easily turn fabric when the machine stops, and quilting feet that make free-motion and other specialty quilting stitching easier, according to the company.
For embroidering, the Duetta 2 offers 416 built-in embroidery designs, an 8.9-inch diagonal LCD screen display, a work area accommodating frame sizes up to 7” x 12”, on-board USB ports and exclusive access to ibroidery.com, an embroidery design website offering more than 5,000 designs.
