Designs in Machine Embroidery (DIME), Dallas, has acquired embroidery distributor The Embroidery Store, Winston-Salem, N.C.
The acquisition forms a new entity, DIME EMB LLC. Existing Embroidery Store employees will remain at the company, including President Bill Fenimore. Eileen Roche maintains her position with DIME.
“Our acquisition of The Embroidery Store complements our overall offering and allows us to provide high-quality exquisite threads and stabilizers to distributors and independent retailers,” explains Eileen Roche, co-owner of DIME. “This purchase grows our industry network and strengthens our current offerings to industry partners, ultimately giving their customers more choices with better pricing,”
With the acquisition, DIME incorporates thread and stabilizer products from The Embroidery Store, and will eventually offer them under the Exquisite by DIME brand. Commercial products offered online by The Embroidery Store will remain at the company’s North Carolina facility. — J.L.
