A4, manufacturer of premium sportswear and team uniforms, is now making all its most popular apparel, and the vast majority of its line, with recycled polyester.
FULL STORYBELLA+CANVAS, Los Angeles, has opened a state-of-the-art, technologically advanced distribution warehouse located in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas facility, which opened in early March, boasts 720,000 square feet of operating space and a brand-new, 3-level-pick mezzanine. The distribution center will take the place of the manufacturer’s Los Angeles distribution center and is fully operational.
This multi-level picking system, powered by a three-quarters of a mile-long spiral conveyance, maximizes warehousing space, with each level contributing 120,000 square feet of incremental racking and storage.
“We’re committed to technology so we can grow the business efficiently and in turn create more jobs in the US,” says Norm Hullinger, BELLA+CANVAS chief operations officer. “We have implemented a hybrid approach to technology that works in tandem with our valued workforce. State-of-the-art robotics carry orders from one location to the next, while employees load each bot with the product it needs to complete the order. This hybrid approach improves efficiencies and ensures timeliness and accuracy across all orders placed.”
