FULL STORYNext Level Apparel (NLA), Los Angeles, has premiered a new product line that promises a perfect, sustainable fit for consumers and the environment.
Part of NLA’s new Vintage Collection, the Soft Wash 3600SW Unisex T-shirt is made using a proprietary wash and dye process that is markedly more eco-friendly when compared to a garment pigment-dye process.
“We’ve developed an innovative way to produce a super-soft, pre-shrunk premium quality T-shirt that NLA customers have come to expect while demonstrating our long-established commitment to our planet,” says Caius Olowu, NLA merchandise director.
“Production of our heavier-weight combed ring-spun cotton Soft Wash T-shirt involves less water, chemicals, and electricity when compared with a pigment dye process,” Olowu continues. “That’s why we tout this line as ‘kind to your skin, kinder to the earth, and one-of-a-kind.’”
The initial launch of the 3600SW consists of 12 vintage-inspired colors, with additional styles and colors already in the works.
“Everyone has a favorite T-shirt that they love…it’s the one that’s been worn and washed so many times that it’s super-soft, broken in, and slightly faded in all the right places,” says Mike Alexander, NLA president. “There’s something remarkably familiar about our 3600SW cotton T-shirt because although it’s new, it feels like you’ve worn it many times before.”
“Each Soft Wash garment features unique markings that make it as one-of-a-kind as the individual who wears it,” Alexander says.
According to the company, the subsequent additions to the Soft Wash Collection will be available in 2024.
