FULL STORYPacific Emblem Company, San Diego, has designed a special memorial patch to honor the loss of UPS driver Steve Krueger.
Krueger was tragically killed when an airplane hit his truck while at a stop sign on his route. The crash occurred near Pacific Emblem’s corporate offices.
Rich “Dr. Patch” Soergel, Pacific Emblem CEO, worked for UPS as his first job and is a private pilot.
“I felt in my heart I had to do something to honor Steve, who drove for 30 years at UPS and was about to retire,” says Soergel. “I came up with a simple memorial patch that drivers could wear on their sleeves to keep Steve and his life at UPS in their minds. It was the right thing to do!”
The regional UPS manager has ordered them for all drivers with Soergel donating 300 pieces for free. — D.S.
