Ricoma Launches Custom Apparel Educational Exhibition

August 22, 2019

Ricoma Intl. Corp, Miami, will introduce DecoSummit, a fully realized convention with guest speakers, training courses, master classes and prize raffles.

The event will be held Oct. 11-12 at Ricoma’s new headquarters. Custom apparel decorators, from business owners to at-home crafters, are encouraged to attend to gain knowledge on how the industry is expanding and the proper tools needed to succeed, according to the company.

“For the first time ever, decorated-apparel professionals are teaming up to create the decorated-apparel educational experience,” says Ricoma COO Henry Ma. “Come learn what’s new, what’s hot and what’s working in the industry right now.”

DecoSummit will feature industry expert speakers like popular YouTubers, Reyes Gasca from “Reyes the Entrepreneur,” and former CNN reporter Jennifer Moore from “The Sewing Report.” Several Ricoma professionals also will be lecturing on a variety of subjects, from creating a business on Etsy to at-home embroidery machine maintenance.

“What makes this event different is that it’s not about selling products; rather, it’s all about the practical matters,” Ma says.

DecoSummit will focus on educating decorators on crafting a great customer experience, as well as understanding contracts and even hiring staff.

Additionally, DecoSummit also offers a VIP package that includes an entire extra day of hands-on learning on Oct. 10, where guests can train with embroidery machines and DTG printers and become technicians with a technical certification course that guarantees full mastery of the machine.

Admission to the event includes a chance to win a free embroidery machine and other prizes. VIP guests will receive two entries to win.

Event tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through its website. — D.S.
