Roland DG Relocates Company Headquarters

Roland DG Corporation has announced it will relocate and consolidate its headquarters in a new building that will reduce energy consumption by 75 percent

Roland DG Corporation, Hamamatsu, Japan, has announced the company will relocate to Miyakoda where it will construct a new “Nearly ZEB” certified building that will reduce energy consumption by 75 percent. To further improve efficiency, Roland has decided to integrate its factory and headquarters functions currently located at two separate venues.

In late 2021, Roland consolidated its mass production functions to its Thailand plant as of to improve production efficiency. Its Miyakoda Plant is now used as a pilot line.

ZEB certification defines four levels of certification based on the level of achievement of a zero-energy construction. Zero-energy construction aims to reduce the annual primary energy consumption balance required for air conditioning, lighting to zero by combining energy-saving technologies, such as the use of natural energy and efficient equipment systems, and energy-creating technologies, like solar-power generation.
