S&S Activewear, Bolingbrook, Ill., is adding a 200,000-square-foot distribution center in West Chester Township, Ohio, to its operations.
Located just outside Cincinnati, the facility will expand the supplier’s distribution network and improve service levels while also reducing pressure on other locations within the network to better serve a growing customer base in the region, according to the company.
“This facility is a significant investment in our future and underscores our commitment to providing best-in-class service and product availability to our customers in the Midwest and the eastern United States,” says Frank Myers, president of S&S Activewear. “By creating transportation efficiencies, the West Chester Township facility also allows us to reduce our carbon impact in the region.”
The distribution center will bring in approximately 175 jobs to the greater Cincinnati region and will create additional next-day delivery options for a portion of the supplier’s customer base.
