Vaster Conveyor Dryer Loads and Unloads from One End

February 27, 2024

In an interesting twist, veteran screen-printing equipment supplier Vastex International is offering a new “Return-Belt Conveyor Dryer” that returns cured garments to the front of the dryer to help print shops increase productivity and save space.

“The optional return conveyor eliminates repeated trips between the infeed and discharge ends of the dryer, while cooling cured garments for immediate folding and packaging,” Vastex president Mark Vasilantone said, explaining the thinking behind the innovative new system. “The return belt also allows shops with limited space to position the rear of the dryer close to a wall without the need for a rear catch bin, while shops with two presses can print the front of garments with one press, and the back with the second press as garments come off of the dryer.”

Available on any of the company’s LittleRed and EconoRed dryers employing 30, 54 or 78-inch belt widths, the return-belt portion of the system can also be retrofitted to many existing dryers. As with all Vastex conveyor dryers, both of the system’s belts can be lengthened to serve multiple printers or to accommodate additional modular heating chambers in order to increase capacity (belt speed) in direct proportion to the number of chambers added.

Both the LittleRed and EconoRed series of dryers are offered in mid- to high-capacity configuration for curing plastisol inks, water-based inks and discharge, direct-to-film (DTF) adhesives. LittleRed D series dryers also feature high-powered pre-heating zones that accelerate the curing of ink jet digital inks and screen-printed plastisols, water-based inks and discharge, and DTF adhesives.
