Brother DTG now offers the latest version of its GTX digital direct-to-garment (DTG) printer. The GTX print head contains about three times the number of nozzles than its previous print heads, allowing for prints at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi in a single pass. The GTX’s new design stacks the white print head behind the CMYK so that when the platen comes out, the design is fully printed. The white-ink circulation system keeps white ink in suspension, and a wet capping station helps eliminate the ink from drying on the bottom of the nozzle plate. New proprietary printing software, GTX Graphix Lab, is available with the new GTX. It allows users to import artwork; add text; rotate, size and position elements; and apply artistic effects. GTX Graphix Lab and the GTX print driver are available for Mac and PC operating systems.
