Vastex Intl. has introduced VRS Lite, a small-scale, low-cost screen registration system ideal for smaller shops. The system allows film positives to be registered onto screens off-press, and screens to be registered on-press 70%-90% faster than with conventional methods, according to the company. VRS Lite weighs 21 pounds, and accommodates wood, aluminum or retensionable screens up to 21” x 24”, pallets up to 14” x 17”, and presses with rear clamps up to 15 inches.
