2025 III Awards – Most Innovative Marketing Initiative/Concept: 613 Originals/Not a Food Truck

“How do we do make our booth more inclusive, fun and just plain cool?” That question in turn prompted, Deric Hoch, CEO of custom heat-transfer specialist 613 Originals, to jokingly pitch the idea of a taco stand, in a nod to Long Beach, California (site of one Impressions three annual expos) and the incredible foodie scene there. The result? 613 Originals “Definitely Not a Food Truck” activation at the 2024 Impressions Expo Long Beach show and the subsequent 2024 Impressions Expo in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Built around the theme of a food truck that doesn’t serve food, “menu” items consisted of a variety of heat transfer samples, decorated items and more, including a made-to-order tote bag decorated with a Varsity 1 Color transfer, rolled up and wrapped to look like a burrito.
