AnaJet Celebrates Ricoh Technology Partnership

Published: October 29, 2013

AnaJet, Costa Mesa, Calif., is celebrating the two-year anniversary of its technology alliance with Ricoh Printing Systems America (RPSA).

RPSA is the exclusive manufacturer of the MH2420 print heads used in AnaJet’s best-selling mPower i-series digital apparel printer.

“Most direct-to-garment printer manufacturers source their print heads from equipment that was not originally intended for production-capacity garment printing,” says Don Rasmussen, director of engineering at AnaJet. “With the mPower, AnaJet reimagined how a direct-to-garment printer should be built, using more robust components for speed and stamina. One of our first major requirements was a print head that could withstand production conditions without the high cost. We found that the Ricoh MH2420 print head delivered the most consistent quality print and the greatest durability for high-speed and high-volume output.”

All mPower digital apparel printers print full-color digital images with resolutions ranging up to 1,200 dpi. AnaJet launched the mPower in August 2011, and then launched the next-generation mPower i-series in April 2013.
