The Academy of Screen Printing Technology (ASPT) presented its annual Dave Swormstedt Sr. Memorial Award and welcomed new members during a ceremony at the 2012 SGIA Expo, held Oct. 18-20 in Las Vegas.
Founded in 1978, the Swormstedt Award recognizes the best article or technical paper that is written and published on any aspect of the screen printing industry. ASPT members choose award winners.
ASPT Chairman Bruce Ridge presented the Swormstedt Award to Joe Clarke of Clarke Product Renovation for his four-part article, “Squeegee Design Innovation,” which appeared in four issues of the SGIA Journal between 2010 and 2011.
ASPT also welcomed its newest members during the SGIA Keynote Breakfast. Those members are: Andy Anderson, Anderson Studios; Jim Raymont, EIT Inc.; and Samir Sadikoglu, ETF Tekstil.
