Boxercraft Welcomed President Clinton to Industrial Revolution II

Published: March 5, 2014

Boxercraft, Atlanta, recently welcomed former United States President Bill Clinton to Industrial Revolution II (IRII), its manufacturing facility in Haiti.

Boxercraft currently produces 80% of its tops at this location. The company is working closely with IRII and eventually hopes to produce about 40% of the millions of tops and bottoms it sells annually through wholesalers to retailers in college bookstores and resorts at this facility.

“This was an easy business decision and the right thing to do,” says Shelley Foland, Boxercraft CEO. “Consumers are paying attention to where their garments are being made and the conditions of the factories, regardless of their location. In fact, they are, more often than not, considering this factor when they make their purchase decision.”

Founded by Rob Broggi, a former analyst at Boston-based Raptor Capital, IRII started production at its 35,000-square-foot Port-au-Prince facility last September. The facility also is backed by designer Donna Karan, actor Matt Damon and Joey Adler, CEO of Diesel Canada. Through its unique “shared value” business model, IRII invests 50% of its profits into its workers, their families and the local community through health and wellness programs, training and education initiatives.
