Charles River Apparel, Sharon, Mass., recently announced the results of its third-annual 2013 ‘Tis the Season for Giving charitable campaign.
The company donated a total of 3,000 garments to the homeless during the 2013 holiday season.
The company invited social media users to become fans of Charles River Apparel on Facebook from Thanksgiving through Dec. 31. With every new “like” on the page, the company donated a new garment to New York-based The Bowery Mission, which has served the homeless and hungry since 1879.
In addition, Charles River Apparel made local donations to Christmas in the City, a 100% volunteer organization that hosts an annual holiday party with live entertainment, amusement rides, and a petting zoo for more than 3,000 homeless individuals and families in the surrounding Boston area.
