Charles River Apparel, Sharon, Mass., recently announced Wayne Best has joined the company as its new chief marketing officer (CMO) and a key member of its senior leadership team.
In this newly created position, Best will oversee all marketing functions. With the new appointment, Charles River aims to scale its marketing operations by increasing its focus on its customers and consumers’ evolving needs by developing its brand presence and strengthening its digital platform, according to the company.

Prior to joining Charles River, Best was vice president of marketing at ’47, a Massachusetts-based sports lifestyle brand, for seven years. Other roles include global director of consumer marketing at New Era Cap and senior marketing positions at adidas, Salomon, and Taylor Made.
