Charles River Apparel President to Throw First Pitch at Red Sox Game

Published: April 12, 2013

Barry Lipsett, president and owner of Charles River Apparel, Sharon, Mass., will throw out the first pitch at the April 14 Boston Red Sox game.

Red Sox management requested Lipsett throw the first pitch, as his father and Charles River Apparel founder, Walter Lipsett, is central Massachusetts’ longest-running Red Sox season ticket holder.

Prior to its company headquarters being relocated to Sharon, Charles River Apparel was located in Medford for more than 26 years. The company’s main office is now located just a few miles from Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.

The Boston Red Sox will play the Tampa Bay Rays in this Sunday’s game, to be held at 1:35 p.m.
