Cox Nominated for Small Business Influencer Award

Published: August 28, 2013

Jennifer Cox, president of the National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP), has been nominated for a 2013 Small Business Influencer Award in the leaders category.

The Small Business Influencer Awards honor individuals who are influential to small businesses in North America through the products, services, knowledge, information or support they provide to the small-business market.

Cox, along with her business partners Susan and Arch Ritchie, established the NNEP in 1996 to support the success and growth of business owners in the decorated apparel industry. For business owners, the national organization offers member programs, marketing support and member benefits, such as discounts from national suppliers, and provides expertise in apparel decoration techniques.

“This brings focus to our entire industry on a national level,” says Cox regarding her nomination. “We are an ‘invisible’ industry — people tend to forget we are there, right in the community, until they need to order something.”

Now in its third year, the Small Business Influencer Awards enable the small-business community to nominate and show its support for those that influence and support it. The awards have an open nomination period with community voting, and then a judging period by a group of industry-knowledgeable judges. Voting for this year’s awards ends Sept. 9.
