Heat Transfer Warehouse Volunteers for Great Plains Food Bank

Published: September 5, 2018

Heat Transfer Warehouse, Fargo, N.D., recently volunteered at the Great Plains Food Bank (GPFB), taking part in the program’s corn-shucking event.

For two hours, 18 Fargo team members shucked corn to help with the Great Plains Food Bank’s mission of ending hunger through community partnerships and, one day, having a hunger-free North Dakota and western Minnesota, according to the organization.

Additionally, GPFB has a warehouse where it stores non-perishable and perishable food items and supplies. The organization also has a backpack program that sends food home from school with kids who may not have much to eat for dinner or during weekends. — D.S.
