The recent enhancements make it possible to assign Harmonized System codes and corresponding special tax handling rules to specific products.
Developed with customers who deal with more advanced tax issues, such as state-tax overrides, the upgrade allows for the addition of multiple rules, different tax rates for different areas under the same rule and other contingencies.
The program enhancements also help to better position InkSoft users for the future. By providing the ability to tag products with an HS Code and apply the correct tax, the new features can pave the way for international trade and ensure readiness for integration with future automated e-commerce tax software requiring HS codes.
