Kornit Digital, Rosh-Ha’Ayin, Israel, will launch a new addition to its Avalanche product line at FESPA 2013.
The new Avalanche 1000 is the fastest direct-to-garment printer ever made by the company. It features new piezo-electric print heads, a back-up battery system and an integrated professional humidity system.
The machine uses Kornit’s NeoPigment process, offering a more environmentally friendly and efficient alternative to machines that require additional pretreatment and drying processes, according to the company.
Designed for the mass production of garments, the Avalanche 1000 has dual-pallet industrial production capability and is designed for heavy-duty use. The print-head array, equipped with 24 Spectra Polaris heads, generates very high speeds and excellent print quality, according to the company. An automatic height-adjustment mechanism allows for printing over buttons, zippers and other protruding objects. The machine prints up to 300 light and 170 dark garments per hour.
Another new member of the Avalanche product family, the Kornit Avalanche Hexa, also will debut at FESPA. The Avalanche Hexa is a six-color, direct-to-garment printer featuring additional red and green channels with an increased gamut for improved color saturation and spot-color handling.
