Kornit Introduces New Direct-to-Garment Printer in Europe

Published: March 12, 2014

Kornit Digital Europe GmbH, Rantingen, Germany, recently announced the commercial availability of its Avalanche Hexa direct-to-garment printer throughout Europe.
This six-color system features a NeoPigment process that can print directly on multiple fabric types. The machine also offers a 30% gamut increase, as it is the only system to add red and green to the traditional CMYK palette, with the inclusion of white ink, according to the company.

Kornit Digital partnered with top fashion printers throughout Europe, including Blur Impressao Digital Textil of Barcelos, Portugal, during the beta testing phase of the Avalanche Hexa. Since its launch this past January, machines already have been sold to Germany, France and Portugal.

With its unique inclusion of red and green, plus regular CMYK and white, the printer simplifies spot-color handling and color matching, allowing users to reproduce branding and specific shades quickly and accurately, according to the company. It also incorporates 20 Dimatix Spectra Polaris print heads with 256 nozzles each, optimizing production across the 23.5” x 35” overall print area. Additionally, this printer includes an integrated humidity system, battery backup and automatic maintenance procedures.
