Penn Emblem Supports Australia’s Surviving Animals

Published: January 31, 2020

Penn Emblem, Trevose, Pa., is providing aid to Australia’s animals amid the catastrophic bush fire that recently swept across the country.

The company wanted to do its part to help the millions of animals that were displaced, orphaned or worse. The Animal Rescue Collective Craft Guild began collecting various items for the surviving animals, such as bat wraps, nests, kangaroo pouches and koala mittens, made from gently used materials, old blankets, towels and more.

During this time, local crafters from around the country have collected materials and sewn together the items to be donated. Penn Emblem hosted a drive in its corporate office to collect as many gently used materials as possible to donate to the crafters who are working on the protective items for the animals.

Within two weeks, more than 70 blankets, sheets and towels were collected, filling four large garbage bags to be donated to the crafters’ efforts. — D.S.
