Roland Introduces Its Fastest Large-Format Printer

Published: April 4, 2013

Roland DGA Corp., Irvine, Calif., introduced the SOLJET XF-640, its fastest-ever large-format printer, at the 2013 ISA International Sign Expo in Las Vegas.

The 64-inch printer is uniquely engineered and constructed to maximize print speed and output without sacrificing image quality, according to the company. It incorporates two mirrored print heads, newly designed take-up and pinch roller systems, enabling it to deliver prints at speeds up to 1,098 square feet per hour.

Additionally, the printer features Roland Intelligent Pass Control, wide-gamut Eco-Sol MAX 2 eco-solvent inks, a strong, rigid rail and frame, a new heating system and two end cups on the take-up’s support bars that help keep the media holder in the correct position.

The XF-640 is capable of handling a range of applications, including indoor and outdoor banners, vehicle and fleet wraps, window graphics, posters, POP, trade show graphics, backlit displays and more.
