Shirt Lab, Dubuque, Iowa, hosted a sold-out sales and marketing training event in Washington D.C. at the Nationals Park, the home stadium for the Washington Nationals Major League Baseball team.
The May 18 event featured six instructors that guided attendees through best practices for sales and marketing for targeting customers in the athletic market.
Ryan Withrow of Awesome Communications, began the workshop with an interactive discussion on how to differentiate your shop with your communication. Bimm Ridder Sportswear’s Gary Ficken led a discussion on how to build a sales plan for athleticwear and a solid presentation footing.
Tom Rauen shared how to use online web stores to capture more sales, reduce friction points and add more revenue per order. Josh Ellsworth of Stahls’ provided tips on meeting sales goals and building a defined dashboard and KPI system. Adam McCauley from Sandlot Sports showed how to capture more revenue and increase bottom-line profits by bundling other items with an apparel order.
Ryonet’s Ryan Moor demonstrated the steps necessary to build a video series for the shop on how to educate customers. An “All-Star” Q&A session took place after the presentations.
Shirt Lab has two remaining events in 2019: the first will be held Aug. 3 in Portland, and the second will be held Sept. 28 in Atlanta. Shirt Lab’s 2020 event schedule currently is being organized.
