S&S Activewear Opens Texas Facility

Published: December 5, 2017

S&S Activewear, Bolingbrook, Ill., has officially opened a new, state-of-art distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas.

While the facility is fully operational for shipping and receiving, will-call orders are expected to become available in the first quarter of 2018. The Fort Worth location marks the company’s argest distribution center and features all of its proprietary technology. The wholesaler acquired the strategically placed building in May and has completed the build-out of the 493,000-square foot facility in less than six months.

“Our team was challenged to complete this project before the end of this year and we were determined to get it done,” says Mike Mannucci, director of operations, S&S Activewear. “Let’s just say I couldn’t be more impressed with the collaborative effort that went in to this production. There is nobody in our industry with a stronger and more focused operations team. Now, it’s on to Atlanta.”

The addition of two new facilities — in Fort Worth and Atlanta — will increase S&S Activewear’s operational footprint and positions the company as a frontrunner in the imprintable wholesale apparel market.

“[This year] has been an exciting year”, says Jim Shannon, president, S&S Activewear. “With the addition of these two new locations, we’re poised for tremendous growth in the years to come. We don’t take for granted all the hard work and dedication that’s brought us to this point. From our vendor partners, to our customers, down to our amazing employees, we’re fortunate to work with such talented people.” — J.L.
