Stahls’ Offers Embroidery Alternative with FlexStyle

Published: November 7, 2018

Stahls’, Sterling Heights, Mich., now offers FlexStyle emblems, a premium and lightweight alternative to embroidery.

“STAHLS’ FlexStyle emblems have unmatched quality while still being cost effective for our customers and their luxury finish leads to higher-value apparel,” says Carleen Gray, chief executive officer for GroupeSTAHL North America. “We are challenging conventional fabric personalization methods by creating innovative, user-friendly products. FlexStyle emblems are another great example of how the heat-print technology industry, and STAHLS’, are evolving.”

The backless design of FlexStyle emblems allows for softer wearability, eliminating the uncomfortable feel of traditional embroidery, and adds more colors and dimension without sacrificing detail, according to the company.

FlexStyle is applied with a fast and easy heat-press application, therefore mitigating the issue of stitches pulling and damaging the decoration after wear and tear. It is available in three different options. The first option, DecoX, is best used for left-chest logos, which have a raised texture to show even the most intricate details. It comes in both metallic and non-metallic finishes and can be applied via pressure sensitivity or heat press.

The second option, DomeX, is best used for hats and non-apparel applications. It comes in opaque, satin and chrome finishes, and also can be applied via pressure sensitivity or heat press. For a raised 3D effect, the third option is the DomeX Flat.
