Published: October 1, 2015

Martha C. Ray, owner of Sublimation 101, Branchburg, N.J., was honored during the WNBA game between the Seattle Storm and New York Libery, held July 30 in New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Ray was born in Ecuador and came to the United States at the age of 8 years old. She put herself through college and, at age 27, became involved in the print-for-pay/garment-manufacturing industry.

A member of MWBE and other women’s business organizations, Ray recently expanded Sublimation 101 to Branchburg, N.J., and hopes to serve the community by becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce and sponsoring sports teams.

Prior to the game, Ray was honored by UPS with an appreciation luncheon and a meeting with New York Liberty Ring of Honor member Becky Hammon for her successes in entrepreneurship and community involvement. In addition, between the third and fourth quarters of the game, Ray was invited to stand at center court to receive an award for her positive contributions to the sublimation industry and her local community.
