Surf Expo, ISS Announce Co-Location in Orlando

Published: February 6, 2014

Emerald Expositions LLC, San Juan Capistrano, Calif., recently announced that it will co-locate its Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS) event in Orlando, Fla., with its newly acquired entity, the upcoming Surf Expo summer show, to be held Sept. 4-6 at the Orange County Convention Center.

Surf Expo is the largest and longest-running sports and beach/resort lifestyle tradeshow in the world, according to the company. Last year, its September event attracted the largest attendance in its 38-year history.

“We are excited to be co-locating with ISS this September,” says Roy Turner, show director for Surf Expo. “For years, T-shirts have been a mainstay in the product offerings of our exhibitors and attendees. From souvenir and resort to board sports, imprinted sportswear has been and continues to be the backbone of brand identity.”

For more than 30 years, ISS events have been ideal destinations to see the newest technologies, trends and products in the decorated apparel industry. This year’s ISS Orlando was originally scheduled for April 3-5; however, the company decided to co-locate with Surf Expo to expose exhibitors and attendees to a qualified, potential buying audience comprised of nearly 25,000 people.

“We are very excited to bring ISS Orlando and Surf Expo together this year for the first time,” says Jeff Brown, ISS show director. “There has always been a great synergy between our groups with crossovers on resort wear and gift sections of our shows. From beach transfers on T-shirts to sublimated designs on surf boards, you will be able to see everything on display with this collaboration between ISS and Surf Expo.”

Show badges will enable attendees to enter both show floors with no additional cost.
