Dalco Athletic is now printing full-color twill appliqué using dye sublimation, producing bold, bright colors without the bulkiness of multiple layers or a per-color cost. According to the company, any appliqué design can be created, and can be heat applied or sewn with a commercial zigzag machine or EasyStitch sew file, including team names and numbers in youth and adult sizes. The dye-sublimation appliqué can be used with most uniform materials, but it will not adhere to nylon or porthole fabrics. The collection includes appliqués, patches, Greek letters and coasters as part of the dye-sublimation line, and the minimum order is 10 pieces.
