Buying or merging with another screen-printing shop can be exciting, but it also carries risks. Without proper due diligence, deals can quickly go sideways. To help shop owners avoid costly mistakes, the membership executive coaching organization Fabric has released a free checklist that covers every critical step of the acquisition process.
Developed by Fabric co-founder Steven Farag of Campus Ink, the checklist guides shop owners through each stage of evaluating a potential acquisition. It highlights key areas to review, including corporate structure, finances, sales and marketing, and HR, along with the specific documents and data to request from each department.
“Our goal is to give shop owners confidence when making major business decisions,” Farag says. “This checklist allows them to gain a clear picture of a company’s health, operations, and legal standing before signing a deal.”
The checklist is available now as a free download for any shop owner considering a purchase or merger.
Founded by Farag, Printavo’s Bruce and Kevin Baumgart of Sales Ink, Fabric was created to help members learn strategies and set goals for which they are then held accountable in order to achieve revenue growth. To learn more, visit Fabric.ink.
