Brother Intl. Corp., Bridgewater, N.J., has introduced the new and enhanced GT-3 series of direct-to-garment printers.
Formerly known as GraffiTee, the GT-3 series incorporates lower ink costs and less maintenance than its predecessor, according to the company. The series includes three machines: a CMYK-only model, a CMYK model with two white print heads, and a CMYK model with four white print heads and single pass printing.
In an effort to provide users with a lower cost per print, Brother enhanced the new printers to include: 20% lower 380cc ink cartridge costs; a new white ink agitation feature for up to 60% reduction in ink waste; and an improved maintenance process for better efficiency, according to the company. In addition, the GT-3 series features a built-in enlarged print area up to 16” x 18” and faster data download speeds via built-in LAN/Ethernet connectivity.
To celebrate the introduction of the new line, Brother is offering two limited-time promotions. Current direct-to-garment customers can trade in a qualifying direct-to-garment printer, regardless of its condition, for $5,000 credit toward a new GT-3 series direct-to-garment printer (models GT-341/GT-361/GT-381). The company also is offering 0% financing for 36 months with no-lease payments for the first 30 days.
Additionally, potential customers can choose to expand the financing to the company’s business bundle, which includes qualifying pretreatment or heat press auxiliary equipment.
Both promotions run through Jan. 31, 2014.
