Charles River Apparel to Support Community Rowing Programs

Published: December 17, 2013

Charles River Apparel, Sharon, Mass., recently announced a three-year, $250,000 partnership with growing nonprofit Community Rowing Inc. (CRI), Brighton, Mass.

The partnership will benefit several components of CRI’s youth programs, including Girls Row Boston, Boys Row Boston and Let’s Row Boston. Each of these programs provides avenues for athletic development and personal growth, introducing new rowers to the sport, offering training for competitive rowers and supporting the under-represented within rowing.

“Charles River Apparel greatly values the efforts of Community Rowing to help children, teenagers and adults live a more active lifestyle and gain confidence through the sport of rowing,” says Barry Lipsett, president and owner of Charles River Apparel. “Through this partnership, we hope to form lasting bonds with those at Community Rowing and help spread the word about the increasingly popular world of rowing for recreation and fitness.”
