Colman and Co. Sees Continued Success in Rhinestone Apparel Segment

Published: May 7, 2013

Colman and Co., Tampa, Fla., recently announced a record sales month in its Hotfix rhinestone supplies.

The company reports that the rhinestone supplies segment of its business has increased more than 40% year-to-date, with a record number of new customers. It credits the increase to existing large customers that sell rhinestone transfers, as well as new customers for its entry-level rhinestone business starter kits, called Brush n Bake.

Director of Marketing for Colman and Co., Mark Stephenson, credited the increase in sales to a combination of factors, including the creation of the new Brush n Bake rhinestone transfer systems. They include easy-to-use rhinestone design software, a Graphtec cutter for creating templates and enough supplies to create a variety of sample designs, all for less than $2,500. He also credited the staff’s knowledge and customer service that keeps customers coming back.

The upward trend in the rhinestone apparel business also can be seen in the sales performance of Colman and Co.’s sister company, ColDesi Inc., which supplies more advanced, high-production CAMS automatic rhinestone machines throughout North America.
