Epson America, Long Beach, Calif., is now shipping the Epson SureColor F7170 64-inch production dye-sublimation printer.
The F7170 joins the complete line of SureColor F-Series printers, including the F6070 and F7070, and integrates true roll-to-roll support for unprecedented levels of performance, reliability and image quality for the fabric production and soft signage markets, according to the company. The complete SureColor F-Series line is now available for purchase through authorized Epson Professional Imaging F-Series resellers.
The SureColor F7170 leverages the Epson PrecisionCore TFP print head and Epson UltraChrome DS ink system to deliver high-quality printing, superior dot control, precise and repeatable performance, and excellent longevity for a range of dye-sublimation applications, according to the company.
In addition, a new take-up reel and substrate system delivers winding accuracy between zero and .19-inches on transfer paper rolls for digital textile applications, including soft-signage products such as decorative table tops and runners, as well as point-of-purchase (POP) banners and light-way exhibit displays. Other roll-to roll fabric applications that customers can create include home furnishings, fabric patterns, trendy apparel manufacturing and more.
The SureColor F7170 also features a high-capacity ink tank system with refillable tanks to allow continuous printing through a full roll of media, as well as a new post-platen heater for faster drying times.
