GSG Offers November Educational Classes

GSG, Dallas, offers regular monthly classes at its five regional locations.

Classes scheduled for November include:

Nov. 7
Intro to Screen Printing
Tulsa, Okla.

This class will walk attendees through the start-up process in a step-by-step method. Using a combination of lectures and hands-on training, the instructor will cover film options, screen making, inks, press setup and registration, printing techniques and troubleshooting.

Nov. 7
Digital Preventative Maintenance
Houston, Okla.

Roland-trained instructors will teach the proper daily cleaning methods for large-format and inkjet printers. The class also will cover how to diagnose problems and make repairs, as well as how to replace consumable parts.

Nov. 11-13
Car Wrap
Dallas

Get started in the vehicle wrap market with this two-day class, which will be taught by Jeff Wagner, a 3M-certified installer. Topics will include design, choosing materials and surface prep. Day two will include a full-wrap install.

Nov. 13
Intro to Embroidery
Houston, Texas

Learn successful embroidery techniques on a wide range of fabrics and materials, as well as how to select the proper stabilizer, needle and hoop.

Nov. 14
Advanced Embroidery
Houston, Texas

Learn how to digitize personal embroidery designs in this one-day class. In addition to learning stitch types, artwork requirements and how to create production friendly designs, the class also will cover appliqué and 3-D foam.

Nov. 21
Alternative Lighting
Baton Rouge, La.

Learn about new ways to light up sign cabinets in this come-and-go event, which will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It will cover LED fluorescent lighting options from a variety of major manufacturers, including Principal LED, Sloan LED, USLED, Voltarc and ZLight. Solutions for interior, exterior and double-sided lighting also will be discussed.
