Hexa|Custom, Boulder. Colo., recently debuted a customizable line of down jackets and vests that can be individually tailored with extensive size, fit, features and color options.
“The goal of promotional products shouldn’t be to merely have a logoed giveaway; rather, the objective should be to create an extension of a brand’s ethos to advance the company’s identity in a way that resonates with its target audience,” says Sue Timbo, Hexa|Custom representative. “The only way to incorporate a brand’s DNA to this level is by designing merchandise from scratch, and the only way to accomplish this kind of monumental task is to look differently at how branded merchandise is manufactured.”
During the past year, the Hexa|Custom team has worked on perfecting the proprietary ordering platform and automating the factory to unify the sales process from beginning to end, according to the company. The new system features a software-driven production line with integrated mechanics, backed by a white‐labeled online ordering system. Distributors will be 100% in control of the entire ordering process. The platform automatically produces advanced virtuals — including all angles, interior and exterior — in real time.
There are three premium base products: a puffy down jacket, a standard down jacket and a down vest. All three are available in men’s and women’s sizes from 2XS-3XL and can be tailored in terms of fit. The garments are divided into seven panels, each of which can be customized from a palette of 23 colors. Distributors also can specify the kind of down fill-power, choose whether to add a hood or chest pocket, and select the colors for the YKK zippers. — D.S.
