Promotional products marketing and speaking professional Mary Ellen Sokalski (formerly Pahlka-Hudicka and Nichols) launched a new company this August: The Scarlet Marketeer Inc.
With 33 years experience as a marketing director with Bodek and Rhodes and The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), Sokalski has been recognized for several self-promotion campaigns, receiving eight PPAI Supplier Achievement Awards, four Pyramid Awards, and several Best Booth Awards from the Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS) [link]. It has been her lifelong dream to open her own boutique agency, acting as a “special teams” coach for firms who need a pro specializing in brand-building and prospect captivation, she says.
Sokalski’s new firm provides all types of creative and marketing strategy services to companies of all sizes who don’t have their own marketing departments or wish to supplement theirs. Her ultimate goal is to align her company with several select suppliers and distributors who wish for ongoing support as their outsourced regular marketing department.
As for the business’ name — The Scarlet Marketeer — Sokalski explains, “My mother, who had a great sense of style, always knew how to stand out with her splash of red lipstick. Remembering her standout smile helped me to choose the name Scarlet Marketeer to help my clients stand out.”
