M&R Introduces New DTG Printer

Published: August 5, 2015

M&R, Glen Ellyn, Ill., introduces the M-Link X direct-to-garment (DTG) digital printer.

M-Link X is M&R’s aggressively priced, high-speed version of M-Link, according to the company. M-Link X prints full-size images on white shirts in 30-45 seconds and full-size images on dark shirts in less than a minute.

M-Link X’s image quality is made possible by M&R’s proprietary i-Color RIP software, exclusive Absolute Position Technology (APT) and DuPont Artistri BRITE digital textile inks. Print modes include conventional two-pass printing; bi-directional Y-axis printing; and OPEP, or One-Pass Express Printing.

On black garments, Black Color Mode prevents the printer from laying down a white underbase and black ink on black image areas. On colored garments, Economy Color Mode prevents the printer from laying down a white underbase where black will be printed. This saves ink and increases print speed, according to the company.
