As direct-to-film (DTF) printing continues to expand across small and mid-sized apparel shops, operational workflow — not just print quality — is becoming a competitive advantage. One of the most common bottlenecks for growing decorators is managing printed transfers between the printer and the heat press.
To address that challenge, Ninja Transfers has released its DTF Folder System, an organizational tool originally developed for use inside its own production facility. The system was designed to support operations running more than 100 DTF printers and is now available to customers seeking improved workflow control.
Built for Scaling Shops
The folders are available in two sizes, 12″ x 15″ and 15″ x 18″, and come in six color options. They are designed to:
- Safeguard finished transfers
- Reduce handling errors and mix-ups
- Improve organization between print and press stations
- Support higher-volume, on-demand workflows
“As our print volume increased, we needed a structured way to move transfers from production to press without damage or mix-ups,” said Victor Ilisco, Director of Business Development at Ninja Transfers. “What started as an internal solution became something our customers were asking for as their own businesses scaled.”
Workflow as a Profit Lever
DTF adoption continues to grow among independent decorators because of its flexibility, full-color capabilities and no minimum order requirements. However, as shops increase output and shift toward on-demand production, efficiency beyond the printer becomes critical.
The launch of the DTF Folder System reflects a broader industry trend: production systems and operational organization are increasingly shaping profitability, accuracy and consistency in modern print shops.
