IRVINE, Calif. — Roland DGA has announced the launch of a new UV Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfer system designed to increase ease of use, dimensional stability, and adhesion performance for print providers and personalization businesses.
The updated system features newly engineered UV-DTFA Print Sheets and UV-DTFB Transfer Film that deliver up to two times greater adhesion than competitive systems while eliminating adhesive residue and improving overall workflow efficiency.
Enhanced Media Designed for Roland UV Platforms
The new UV DTF media is engineered to work seamlessly with:
- VersaOBJECT MO Series
- VersaOBJECT CO-i Series
- VersaSTUDIO BD Series
When paired together, the UV-DTFA print sheets and UV-DTFB transfer film provide greater dimensional stability, improved ink anchoring, and a cleaner transfer process. The updated layered film construction enhances production efficiency while reducing common DTF transfer frustrations.
The system also maximizes the performance of Roland DG’s V-BOND inks and ECO-UV 5 inks, delivering bold color vibrancy, durability, and scratch resistance across a wide range of substrates.
Expanding Creative Possibilities with UV DTF
Unlike traditional direct-to-object UV printing, UV DTF allows users to print graphics onto transfer media and manually apply them to objects that are oversized, irregularly shaped, or otherwise difficult to print directly.
The simplified workflow requires just a few steps:
- Print the graphic onto the UV-DTFA sheet.
- Overlay the UV-DTFB transfer film.
- Apply light manual pressure to transfer the design.
- Peel away the film to reveal the finished graphic.
Transferred graphics are durable, scratch resistant, and dishwasher tested with strong performance on many glass substrates previously considered challenging.

The UV-DTFA Print Sheets are offered in boxes of 25 A3 (11.7″ x 16.5″) sheets. The UV-DTFB Transfer Film is available in 12.2″ x 82″ rolls. The new UV DTF system is available through Authorized Roland DGA dealers and the Roland DGA Online Store.
