SGIA Announces 2014 Workshop Schedule

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), Fairfax, Va., has released its 2014 workshop schedule.



Popular sessions on color management and screen printing will return, and a new series on large-format dye sublimation will round out the schedule. The workshops take place in SGIA’s laboratory, digital-imaging lab and classroom facility in Fairfax.

Upcoming workshop dates include:

March 11-13


Color Management Boot Camp

In this workshop, attendees will learn how to set up and maintain a color-managed workflow in a production environment, with a concentration on the unique aspects of large-format inkjet printing.

April 28-May 2

Totally T-Shirts! Garment Screen Printing: Basic to Advanced 


This class is ideal for shops that want to become professional and profitable garment screen printers, according to the company. Attendees will take an active role in this class by stretching, coating, exposing and setting up the press. They will leave with a complete understanding of each process.

May 13-14
Operation Sublimation (Mission: Wide-Format)


In this workshop, attendees will learn how to set up and maintain a wide-format dye-sublimation workflow in a production environment. This class is a must for printers who need dye-sublimation specifics about materials, inks and processes to help raise profitability, according to the company.
