SGIA to Host Screen Making Workshop

From May 11-15, Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), Fairfax, Va., will host its “Screen Making: Basic to Advanced Workshop” at its Fairfax headquarters.

The workshop combines classroom presentations and hands-on practice to teach screen printers the how and why of making the right screen for nearly every job.

For one week, attendees will learn proven methods to save both time and money to improve their business, including:

– Correct methods for choosing the right mesh, stencil and frame
– Proper stretching procedures to produce consistently tensioned screens
– Correct stencil application methods for optimum consistency and repeatability
– Proven techniques for calculation and determining optimum stencil exposure
– Troubleshooting printed results.
