Stahls’ ID Direct, St. Clair Shores, Mich., recently announced the winner of its Summer of Bling Glitter Flake Design Contest.
The contest invited decorators to get creative with the company’s Glitter Flake product. Contestants submitted photos and fans voted on their favorite submissions.
A design by Kim Stroud of Barnesville, Ga., garnered the highest number of votes by fans of the Stahls’ ID Direct Facebook page for having the most creative Glitter Flake design. She won a rhinestone-covered Stahls’ Hotronix 16” x 20” Auto Open Clam heat press on the company’s Heat Press Caddie stand.
Stroud created her award-winning Glitter Flake tiger by separating her vector artwork file into three colors. Each file was cut separately in CAD-CUT Glitter Flake material and then put together like a jigsaw puzzle. She heat applied the first two colors for three seconds then added the third color, pressing it for 15 seconds.
