ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. — STAHLS’ Hotronix has introduced an updated 6-by-6-inch Threadable LowRider Auto Clam Heat Press, adding a new platen configuration designed to make small-format and two-sided heat-printing applications easier to produce.
Designed for collar labels, small patches and other compact designs, the updated platen allows operators to more easily position items for two-sided printing while maintaining even pressure and supporting a faster production workflow.
Compact Heat Press Targets Shop and Mobile Production
The Threadable LowRider combines a space-saving clamshell design with Hotronix’s patented magnetic auto-open feature, which helps prevent over-application by automatically opening the press when the application cycle is complete.
Magnetic assist also reduces the effort required to lock down the press, helping limit wrist and shoulder strain during repetitive production. Its compact design is intended for both traditional shop environments and mobile heat-printing operations.

Four Platens Expand Small-Format Decorating Options
An easy-to-read digital display provides operators with time, temperature and pressure information for repeatable applications. The press also incorporates Over-the-Center Pressure Adjustment to provide even, edge-to-edge heat and pressure when working with substrates of varying thicknesses.
The Threadable LowRider includes four interchangeable platens:
- 6-by-6-inch
- 4-inch round
- 4-by-5-inch
- 4-by-4-inch
The 120V unit weighs 28 pounds and measures 20- by 10- by 14-inches. Made in the United States, the press is SGS-certified to UL standards and CE/RoHS approved. The heating element carries a lifetime warranty, with additional warranty coverage provided for the framework, circuit board and other components.
