SHAWNEE, Kan. — Nazdar SourceOne has opened a new 5,000-square-foot Solutions Center designed to give printers hands-on access to production technologies before making an equipment investment.
Located at the company’s Shawnee, Kansas, campus, the facility brings together wide-format, textile and finishing equipment along with inks, coatings and substrates in a working production environment supported by Nazdar SourceOne technical experts. Customers can schedule appointments to run their own jobs on equipment they are considering purchasing.
The Solutions Center officially opened Aug. 26 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Nazdar SourceOne followed the opening with its inaugural EMERGE customer event, bringing together more than a dozen printers and supplier partners for education, product demonstrations and equipment overviews.
Printers Can Test Equipment Before Investing
The facility provides access to equipment from manufacturers including EFI, Roland DGA, Colex, M&R, STAHLS’ Hotronix and Graphic Finishing Partners.
Rather than evaluating potential investments based solely on specifications or standardized demonstrations, customers can bring their own files and substrates, observe production workflows and work with Nazdar SourceOne technical experts to determine how different technologies could address their specific production needs.
“Buying a piece of equipment is one of the biggest decisions our customers make, and a spec sheet alone rarely tells the whole story,” says Mike Johnson, vice president of graphic and industrial products at Nazdar. “Here they can print their own work on their own substrates, with our technical team beside them, before they commit.”
Johnson adds that the facility is intended to function as more than a traditional showroom, providing an environment where customers can evaluate whether technologies translate into practical production solutions.
Solutions Center Adds Training and Education
Beyond equipment evaluation, the Solutions Center will serve as a training and education facility. Customers can schedule operator training for their existing systems, while Nazdar SourceOne plans to offer ongoing sessions covering new applications and production techniques.
The Nazdar SourceOne Solutions Center is open by appointment at the company’s Shawnee campus.
