Suffice it to say the ZSK Racer R1W embroidery machine was a long time coming. Two years ago, a prototype made its debut at the 2024 Impressions Expo in Long Beach, California. However, the following year the finished system got stuck in transit on its way to Long Beach from Germany, which meant having to wait until this past January’s expo to see it firsthand. The good news is it was worth the wait. In addition to being equipped with ZSK’s “One-Touch Thread Tensioning” system, the Racer R1W is equipped with no less than 18 needles and capable of production speeds of up to 2,000 stitches per minute. Augmenting the power and versality of the system as it was configured at the 2026 Long Beach Expo was ZSK’s “Roll2Roll” automation system for embroidering labels and other similar items.
