LOS ANGELES — A4 has opened a new corporate headquarters and West Coast distribution center in Vernon, California, nearly doubling the company’s capacity in the Los Angeles area as it continues expanding its operations.
The family-owned sportswear manufacturer announced the opening Oct. 21, citing increased demand across the team sports, promotional products and corporate apparel markets.
The new facility provides additional warehouse space, allowing A4 to expand its product assortment and maintain deeper inventory levels in Southern California. The investment is intended to improve product availability and give West Coast customers faster access to apparel.
Expanding Inventory and Distribution Capabilities
A4’s move reflects continued investment in its inventory and distribution operations as demand for athletic apparel, team uniforms and promotional garments grows.
The expanded warehouse capacity will allow the company to stock more styles and larger quantities of products, supporting customers who rely on consistent inventory availability.
“Our business has grown consistently over the past decade because our customers continue to place their trust in A4,” said Mark Mertens, owner of A4. “This expansion is an investment in those customers. New Facility Supports Growing Decoration Business
Beyond inventory and distribution, the Vernon facility also provides additional capacity for A4’s expanding apparel decoration services.
According to the company, its decoration business has experienced rapid growth over the past 12 months, making additional operational space an important part of its expansion strategy.
The new location is intended to support continued development of these services while improving the company’s ability to meet customer demand.
For screen printers, team dealers and other apparel decorators, the investment could translate into improved access to blank sportswear and expanded decoration options through A4.
Continued Investment in Company Growth
Located just a few miles from A4’s previous headquarters, the Vernon facility allows the company to expand while maintaining continuity for employees and customers in Southern California.
“We wanted a location that allowed us to grow without disrupting our team or the relationships we’ve built in Southern California,” Mertens said.
The expansion follows A4’s recent growth in Kansas City, Missouri, and its partnership with Citadel Brands, marking the company’s third major expansion in two years.
